Hi all,
I am reworking a game we released quite some time ago. It is quite unusual crossbreed between slot machine games and fantasy games. By playing slot machine game (which includes using some of your reactions and sence of rythm) you could free antient rune sword out of its impisonment. Game name was "Rune Slot: The Sorrowbringer", but I am not sure that having "Sorrowbringer" in game name is a good idea, though it is bringing attention to the game no doubt.
Now, which of the next will capture your attention and will make you eager to download a game (or may be you can suggest something yourself).
Rune Slot
Rune Machine
Rune Slot: The Sword
Rune Slot Machine
Thanks.

All of those sound a bit harsh/choppy to me. Sorrowbringer is quite cool, but something I would save for a more platform/rpg game than a slot machine. I would also stay away from 'Slot' in general - For one, I'm not sure it translates everywhere (They seem to call them fruit machines in the UK) and for another, it has immediate cheesy casino connotations that could put people off. If I see a game on the new downloads list and anything about it makes me fear that it's another lame internet gambling ripoff, I'm going to avoid it like the plague.
Things I might use...
Runemaster / Rune Master
Runes of Destiny (if there's a cool story behind the sword, therefore you are DESTINED to free it)
Excalibur (yeah, yeah, lame and obvious, but it's got those associations with freeing the sword in the stone)
Runesword (sometimes obvious is good!)

As is often the case when I reply after papillon, I agree with what she said. :) Rune Slot just doesn't sound very appealing to me. Also, from a storyline perspective, I'm not so sure Sorrowbringer sounds like something one would *want* to release back into the world, but OTOH it probably would be appealing to a would-be hero that only needed a suitable sword to overthrow the evil overlord. :)
A few suggestions for other avenues of thought:
Wheels of Destiny (maybe a little too close to Wheel of Fortune, tho)
Luck's Prison (sounds like a Piers Anthony novel)
Spinning Runes
Runecalibur/Slotcalibur
Diodor

hmmm... how about:
Rune Slot: One-Armed Dragon Slayer (pun on one-armed bandit)
Rune Slot: Sword of Gold
Rune Slot: Golden Treasure
and actually now that i think about it, just plain Rune Slot sounds good to me :)

If you're going to stick with "slot" how about pluralizing it? Rune Slots. Slots is a slang term for a slot machine, whereas "Rune Slot" sounds like a drawer in my kitchen where I keep my runes. ;-) You could also unabashedly call it a slot machine, as in Sorrowbringer: Fantasy Slot Machine. That might attract casino-lovers as it clearly suggests the game is a kind of slot machine.
Slotcaliber, lol. I also like Bruno's one-armed bandit pun.
Other ideas:
Fantasy Slots
Runespinner
Runic Jackpot
Slots Magic

These are probably terrible but off the top of my head,
Ruined Slots
SpinMagic
Archaic Spin
Sorcery Slots
Enchanted Spin
mmm...

Thanks everyone :) I will think about suggestions. If I will take any of the names which were suggested, I will add the person to the credits and send him a free version of a game :)
To make it more clear what I am talking about here is the game: link (http://www.warriormage.com/downloads/runeslot.exe) ( it is 5 mb).
Pay attention that it is an old version of a game which we do not support, destribute or sale anymore. But gameplay generally will stay the same, so you can have an idea what it is about.

I decided to stop at Runesword: Fantasy Slot Machine. It it sounds ok? Is it too long or ok?
