I've been wanting to re-announce this - I have a channel on the afternet network on irc called #GameDevelopers which I created so I could have a place to talk about general game development (not some arcane piece of software engineering or some aspect of c/c++ development). And actually I don't mind programming chat as long as it's about games specifically. Anyways, this is one of the few developer forums that actually seem mature, and that's why i'm advertising here instead of the xgames bb, or gamedev.net's forums. In any case if you want to chat about games please come over and see us. Basic channel rules are posted at : http://uhfgood.artoo.net/gdvrules.html in any case I hope to see some of you there.

unfortunately i could never get logged on to afternet.
My ISP has been blacklisted from all afternet connections.
Just my bad luck to have only a few choices of ISP where all
of them do not respond to abuse reports therefore ended up
being blacklisted permanently. :-(

you could try getting a workspot.com acct. and then you could sign on from anywhere, and it'd look like you were coming from workspot.com's servers which I'm pretty sure arent banned.

jcvw75 - What is your host mask? I think if they know, they can allow people on a case-by-case basis... You can email me if you don't feel comfortable posting it in here at uhfgood@artoo.net

workspot.com is out man, too expensive for me.
I'll be paying many times more just because of the conversion
rate just to get into an irc server.
My IP mask is j*.jhb*.jaring.my
But i don't think it'll be easy getting it removed.
Lets hope this works.
