Hey all. I haven't been around a lot lately; been verrry busy.

Well it seemed like it would never happen, but I finally got our ecommerce site launched (see Online Alchemy (http://www.onlinealchemy.com)). A lot of the advice and opinions I got here a few months ago made a difference, but OTOH we've deferred some changes just out of cost- and time-consciousness. Anyway, we now have two games available for downloading and buying (one for mac/pc, the other for Palm), and two that can be played on the site (three games total).

We've had a couple of sales already (oooh the pent-up demand! :) ), but have yet to start on marketing.

The downloadable and PDA markets are still important to me, but they aren't our main focus. I'm working on a much larger game that will require actual funding and such. I pitched it at e3 and got excellent responses, but there is still a very long way to go.

Don't forget to add the link to your sig(s).

Thanks. I did put it in the body of the message, but here it is again: www.onlinealchemy.com (http://www.onlinealchemy.com)

And I'll add it to my sig too. Once I, uh, figure out how to edit it.

Hey Mike,
Good to see you back here again. The new site looks good and I found it easy to navigate. One comment: you have to click the buy button to find out how much you're asking for each game. What's your reasoning behind that decision (as opposed to having the prices right on the main page)?

All Online Alchemy games are made for Fun, Depth, and Value.
I still found this one funny. Games can be fun. They can have some depth. They can have perceived value. But I don't think the user sees these as "good things", they just won't care. It's like I said "Games with UI, an installer and a mouse pointer" :D

I don't like the serif font used in the left menu. It just doesn't match the other, sans serif fonts you use everywhere else. I do like the title font. I also like the logo idea, but not the actual picture - it looks too simple.

I dunno, I'd still rather see 'Our games emphasize fun!' than 'Our games emphasize 3d rendered graphics!' ... But I'm weird that way. :)

No, no, I agree with that, but "Games with fun, depth and value" just doesn't sound right for some reason...
