After doing some basic research, I've noticed that apart from 2-3 titles, there doesn't seem to be many business games (by business I mean games where you run business's financially, stock market, industry, etc that aren't the likes of sim something or roller coaster tycoon) done by shareware authors or even non indies. I reckon the market for them is much smaller than puzzle or action games, but I love those games. Even with a small chance of success, should I try to hit a niche market that many people ignore? (I know there are some people doing these games, but the ratio of developers/market is far less than puzzle or action games, and for what I have found, most of the games suck (no offense)).
I'm finishing my first one soon and I guess I'll be able to judge for myself. I'm doing this game for myself tho, because I couldn't find a game that I would enjoy playing in this area so I decided to make one myself, but would be interesting to hear other developers opinion.
