So I pop over and click on my category (Adventure/RPG) and suddenly things are no longer listed by date as a default... in fact, I can't figure out *how* they're listed. Mostly things that are editor's picks seem to be on top, but a few ancient freeware bits are also floating around on that first screen, and all but one are 2001 or earlier... but again, NOT listed by date, even in reverse.

Correspondingly, my number of downloads for the day plummets, and I get an email from download.com inviting me to bid for the right to be listed on the first page of the category.

Um. Are they not getting just a *little* too pushy here? What's going on?

cnet support says it's a known bug and they're working on it.

Guess I'm just paranoid then. :)
