After running across this tool in Wired magazine this month, and finally getting a copy of the alpha - I must say this little tool is very interesting. It seems like the potential for it to create games might be fairly high, and I knew that the perfect group to hear about something like this was here in the indie games forums :)

The tool is located at

http://proce55ing.net/index.html

And you can find many many examples of what it can do. It looks like folks are already making games (http://www.cowfarm.org/%7Ejcarr/code/pz6/index.html)
using this tool, and it might be a way for folks here to prototype game ideas...

Anyway - I thought this might be of some interest.

Hm, it still comes with all the caveats in Java, but no opportunity to control them or fix them.

Thumbs up for idea, thumbs down for implementation.

I would rather like a version of BASIC that compiles down to bytecode. Failing that using neat Java is probably much wiser than Processing.

Cas :)
