With the new forum changes, some of you may be wondering how you are going to keep up with all the new posts in various threads since they are all in different forums.

I would like to direct you to the "View New Posts" link that appears in the top right side of the forum Index screen below "Welcome Back (your username)". You wont see it when you are in a paticular subforum (like this one), but when you visit http://www.dexterity.com/forums you will see it on the main forum index page.

Hope this helps.

Oh that is soo sweet :)

(I got a bit irritated by switching forth and back through the new forums)

nice. I like the new forums, but that link is just what this whole forum split needed.

If everyone is using the Show New feature, what really is the point of the forum being split :0

Well, best of both worlds huh? Those who like the split can avoid using that feature... those who were against it can use that feature and have one big list of threads. Very nice!

But if I use the "View new posts" link, then I donīt have any "Mark this forum read" link, so I was kind of wondering if we could change back the "timeout" value to 10-15 minutes, itīs way to long now, especially since the forum-split.

If not, is there any possibility to get a "Mark ALL forums read" at the top of the "View new posts" page instead?

I just went to all of the indie-forums and clicked "Mark this forum read", but then when I clicked on the "View new posts" I still got alot of new posts from the Indie Forums, why? What exactly does this "View new posts" show?

Sounds like a possible caching problem. What happens when you click refresh?

Reload donīt change anything, Iīve set mozilla so that it always compares the page in the cache with the real page.

Does the problem only occur with Mozilla, or can you duplicate it with another browser too? I can't duplicate the problem at all, and I've heard no other complaints about it. Usually if there's a problem with the forums, I get several PMs about it.

Same behavior in Internet Explorer.

I understand that itīs very hard for you to examine a problem when you canīt duplicate it, so itīs all right for me if you ignore this unexpected behavior (I think problem is a to strong word for this case).

I dislike the forum split so I've been using the "view new posts" link and then clicking "Mark all forums read" when I'm done catching up.

So far, it's working fine for me with Internet Explorer 6.0

Anyone else here having the same problem as freeman?

Is it possible that there's a proxy server caching the old page somehow?

I just found the "Mark all forums read" and that worked, I didnīt see if before when I was looking for such a link, to be honest I never bothered to look so far down the page. My fault, sorry for wasting your time.
