This is a story I've been working on the past couple weeks, it's not game related in anyway, I just enjoy wiriting it :)
This is only the beginning, and I'll post more chapters as I finish them ;)
Well, here we go:

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER TYPE THINGY!
Evil's Reign is a very dark story, it involves some very disturbing killings, and some very evil things. If you are highly religious, scare easy, or don't like reading things that aren't happy, I suggest you skip this!

Chapter 1: Revelation

As I lay there gasping for air in a puddle of my own blood, I wondered how I had
got here. What had caused me to do the things I did, and why I let it. Out of
the corner of my eye, I saw my enemy raise his gun to my head and pull the
trigger. Suddenly, the whole world seemed to slow down, I saw the metal bullet
reflect the rain falling outside. I saw it slowly spinning, coming right for me.
I closed my eyes and waited for it all to end. I thought about what had happened
to me in the last 3 months, and whether anyone else would ever hear my story. I
went through it my head over, and over again. Thinking where I went wrong, what
I had lost, and what I wished I had done. Every time I ended with the same
answer, "Don't take the shortcut home".

The date was March 18, 2015, it had been a long hard day, and I wanted to go
home and get some sleep. I was walking home, and decided to take a shortcut
through an abandoned train station to trim some time from my commute. I heard a
crash of thunder, and it began to rain. I ran under the nearest roof and sat
down on an old bench. While I was waiting for the rain to let up, I heard a
strange noise behind me. I jumped up and spun around, but there was nothing
there, or at least nothing I could see at the time. I sat back down and calmed
myself. A few minutes later, I heard the noise again. I turned around and called
out, "Is someone there?" but no one answered. The rain had begun to calm, so I
was getting ready to leave. Then, out of nowhere, a man was standing in front of
me. I gasped in fright, and almost hit my head on the back of the bench. He
seemed to take no notice of me; he just stood there staring. He was around six
feet tall, and looked very fit. It appeared as if he was wearing jeans, and a
jacket, but it was to dark to be sure. I finally rustled up some courage, and
spoke, "H-Hello?" I stuttered. He paid no attention to me at all. "Is there
something I can do for you?" I asked, this time he responded, "Yes." he had a
horrible low growling voice. He took a step closer, and I could see his face. It
appeared as if he had red eyes! He slowly opened his mouth, and said, "I'm
hungry." in that strange voice of his. "Well, I can get you some food." I
responded, "You are my food!" he growled. This had me very scared. I was stuck
in an abandoned train station with some psycho, who I had a very strong feeling
was going to kill me. "W-What do you mean by that?" I asked. Suddenly he jumped
up in the air, and landed right in front of me! He grabbed my head, turned it to
the left, and bit my neck! It felt as if I was being stuck with two long
needles, and it hurt behind description. I screamed, and flailed wildly, but he
just held on and dug his teeth into me. After about thirty seconds of unbearable
pain, he let go and ran off. I laid there for what felt like forever. Blood
slowly dripping out of my neck on to the ground, I tried to work out what had
just happened to me in my head. The world began to fade to black, and I passed
out.

I slowly opened my eyes, and saw a bright white light. I quickly shut my eyes,
and groaned in pain. I went to put my hands over my eyes, but discovered they
where strapped down! I opened my eyes again, and looked around, it appeared that
I was in a hospital. My skin felt hot, and I was VERY thirsty. I called,
"Hello?" and a nurse came into the room. "Well, looks like your finally awake."
She said as she read the chart at the foot of my bed. "What am I doing here?" I
asked, "Well" she began," you where found half dead in the old train station by
officer Marlow, who called an ambulance." She explained. "Do you remember what
happened to you?" she asked me, "Can I please have some water?" I pleaded. She
undid my arm straps, and handed me a glass of water. I slammed it down like it
was nothing, but it had no effect on my thirst. Not wanting to sound rude, I set
the glass down and pretended to be fine. "What where you asking?" I said, "Do
you remember what happened to you?" she asked again, "No… no I don't remember
anything." I responded. I did remember everything, but I didn't believe it
myself, so I knew they wouldn't. "All right, well just push this button if you
need anything." She said, "Can you please turn these lights of?" I asked. She
walked over to the door and flicked the light switch, "Thanks." I said. She
smiled and walked out.

Lying there I thought about what was going on, how I was attacked in the
station, and my strange thirst. I also noticed that my skin had stopped burning
as soon as the lights had been off. I got up, and walked over to the mirror. I
looked extremely pale in my reflection, and then I noticed it. My mouth appeared
to be slightly higher then it normally was, I slowly opened my mouth, and saw
something that scared me to death. My two front incisors where twice as long as
they used to be, and they where perfectly pointed into sharp needle like teeth.
I closed my mouth and fell back onto my bed. What was happening to me! The nurse
came back in, and turned the light on, I called out in pain, and she quickly
turned them off again, "Oh, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" she gasped. I stood there in
the corner, half blinded by the light. What had happened to me? The nurse slowly
walked over, "Let's get you back into bed, ok?" she said sweetly. I grabbed her
head, twisted it to the side, and dug my teeth deep inside her necked. I could
feel her blood rushing into my mouth, and it tasted so good. After a couple
minutes I let her go, she fell to the ground, dead.

"Oh my God, oh my God." I whispered to my self, what had I done? I didn't even
know what was happening, I just snapped and killed her. I panicked, and ran out
of the room. I ran down the hospital halls slamming into doctors and nurses,
until I found the exit. I ran outside, and heard a woman scream; they had found
the dead nurse. It was late at night, and very dark. I could barely see my hand
in front of face, half due to the dark, and half due to my extreme amount of
stress. I ran down a taxi, and had it take me home.

As soon as I got inside, I fell back on my door and slid down to the floor.
There I sat crying, as the full impact of what had just happened hit me. I heard
the sirens of police cars and ambulances outside. What was I to do? I just
killed someone, in cold blood, and I didn't know why! I was scared, and I didn't
have anyplace to go… so I sat there, all alone, trying to figure out the
situation.

Chapter 2: Reckoning

I had a very serious problem, and no solution. I knew that sitting around wasn't
to going to solve anything, so I raised myself up to my feet, and wiped my eyes
of the tears. To solve this problem, I first needed to understand it.

I walked over the to the library, obviously it was closed at this time, but I
worked there so I had a key to get in. I began looking through all the legends
and myth books I could find, trying to find some sort of creature that matched
my new being. I found writings of "Werewolves" strange half man half wolf
creatures who could pass there curse onto another by biting them, but it said
nothing of a need to drink blood, or the horrible pain caused by light. It also
said that Werewolves would only come out when there was a full moon, which was
not my case. So I continued my search. I found one book on "Vampires", and was
both thrilled, and horrified by what it contained. It said that Vampires could
not handle direct light, especially sunlight. It also said that they needed to
drink blood in order to sustain their life, and that they reproduced by
infecting other humans. It did not however explain how this "infecting" process
worked. It also had a list of vampire weaknesses, light, water, crosses, garlic,
and impalement. I knew for a fact that crosses, garlic, and water where not
harmful, as I had come in contact with all of them at the hospital. However,
light did seem to affect me, and impalement was not something I was eager to
test. The book went on to explain that vampires had superhuman abilities; such
as the ability to jump great heights & distances, as well as the ability to
instantly heal any non-fatal wound. This greatly intrigued me. I went into the
middle of the library, and attempted to jump to the other side. I counted to
three, and jumped. To my surprise, I glided across the whole library and landed
more then 40 feet from where I jumped! I was almost beginning to like this
"curse". I then walked over to the main desk, and pulled out the letter opener.
I was very concerned about what I was about to do, but I had to know. I took the
letter opener, and slit my hand straight down the middle. Strangely, no blood
came out of my hand, and after three seconds, the wound sealed itself up! I was
so amazed I fell back into a chair and sat there gasping for air. I was a super-
hero!

I ran back over to the book I was reading and continued gaining knowledge about
my new powers. Towards the end I discovered something rather disturbing… A
chapter entitled, "Vampire Hunters". It seemed as if there was an elite group of
humans who had sworn to hunting down and destroying every vampire on the planet.
This caused a great deal of distress to rise up in me. Surely this was no more
true then the crosses and garlic mumbo-jumbo that I had read previously. Yet, I
had a strange feeling that it was true. I sat down at a desk and thought about
what I was going to do with my life now that I was a super-human. Would I become
a crime-fighting super-hero, or could I use my powers to increase my own
personal worth? These thoughts filled my mind as I sat there. Suddenly I had a
horrible stinging pain in my stomach, "Gah!" I gasped as I bent over holding my
stomach. I had forgotten about the one little side effect to my new being… the
need to feed. I didn't want to kill anyone else, but I needed human blood.
Slowly I got up and left the library, every step I took outside of those walls
was step closer to some unsuspecting person's death. I was scared for what I
might do, whom I might find… and kill. I began walking back towards my house and
then it happened, a late night jogger ran into me. We both fell back, but
quickly got up, he brushed himself off and said, "I'm sorry, man. I didn't even
see you!" in a hurried and somewhat frightened tone of voice. I was fighting an
immense urge and mumbled, "It's alright.". He tried to go past me, but I
wouldn't let him go, "Hey man, let me go!" he shouted. I couldn't handle it
anymore, I grabbed him and dragged him into a nearby alley, he tried to yell for
help but I muffled his mouth with my hand. I said, "I'm sorry" as I dug my teeth
into his neck and drank his blood. He screamed and squirmed for about 20
seconds, and then he went silent. I dropped his dead corpse in the alley and ran
the rest of the way home.

It was 6:45am, March 19, 2015. The sun would be rising any minute. For the first
time in over 20 hours I was tired. In fact I was so tired the whole world seemed
nothing more then a blur. I stumbled around my house to my bed, and lay down. I
was just about to fall fast asleep when I noticed a problem. My bed was located
directly under a window! If I where to sleep here, I would be killed by the suns
rays! I quickly got up, and tried to find a solution to this problem. My bed was
to big to fit out the door, and the sun would up before I had to disassemble it.
I ran out into my garage, and grabbed a hammer, a box of nails, and large piece
of plywood. I ran back into my room and boarded up my window. Now I could sleep
in piece, and I did.

Chapter 3: Tormented

As I slept my mind raced, I had the most unpleasant dreams of my life. I saw
people, everyday people doing everyday things, but I wanted to kill all of them.
I didn't know why I suddenly hated them all, but I did. Suddenly I saw a man's
face appear in front of me. It was dark and disturbing. He had a dark hood on,
and I could barely see his face. Suddenly he vanished and I awoke. I jumped up,
sweat running down my body. I looked around and saw I was in my house on my bed.
For a fleeting moment I had no idea that there was anything wrong me, but
unfortunately a fleeting moment isn't very long. I got up and stretched out a
little, my body had become very stiff during the time I was sleeping. I glanced
over at my alarm; it read 8:45pm. The sun hadn't been down for more then 20
minutes. Suddenly I heard a knock at the door. Who would be calling for me at
this late hour, I wondered. Cautiously I walked to the door, and looked through
the peephole. It was the man in my dream! He stood there awaiting me to open the
door, which I did. "What is it that you want?" I asked, "Only to aid you, my
brother." He responded with a strange look, "Are you going to let me in, or do I
have to stand out here in the cold?" he asked. I opened my door and motioned for
him to come in. He walked in and looked around for a few moments, "Ahh, this is
no place for beings such as us." He said in a disappointed voice, "What are you
talking about?" I demanded. He turned around to face me, and a strange smile
came upon his face. He then slowly opened his mouth, and revealed that he was
also a vampire! I gasped and took a step back. "How did you? Where… I…" I
stumbled for words. He just laughed, and sat down on my couch. While still
smirking he said, "Let me guess here, how did I find you, where did I come from,
and how did I know you where a vampire, right?" he leaned back on the couch and
sighed. "Well, first off all I was once a vampire hunter, so I have a certain
knack for finding fledglings. Your recent feedings have been sloppy; it was not
hard to track you at all. In fact I'm surprised you haven't been hunted already,
your lucky you know." He said with a certain amount of superiority. "What do you
want?" I asked, "Only to help you realize your full potential, and your place in
this world.". I didn't like, or trust him at all. He was cocky, and I didn't
have a good gut feeling around him. Yet he was the only person I had come in
contact who I didn't wish to kill, and that felt good. So I listened to him.
"Why do you want to help me?" I asked him, "Well, you see it isn't good if the
normal humans find out about us vamps, so having fledglings like yourself make
sloppy killings and lead the hunters straight to us is not in our best
interests." He responded, "Besides, it's fun." He stated. "My name's Vick,
what's yours?" he asked, "Gherran, my name is Gherran." I replied. Throughout
the night Vick taught me various things about the history of the vampires & the
hunters. "Any human is a potential hunter, remember that." He said, "Also, you
can no longer have any relationships with any mortals, if you do you'll
eventually be forced to kill them, and trust me, that's not something you want
to go through." He paused for a moment as a look of sadness filled his eyes,
"Bah, come on let's do something more fun!" he said as he got up and urged me to
follow him. We left my house, and went to the park a few blocks down. "This a
great place to train your physical abilities." He said, "There, jump up onto
that branch, and then throw yourself into the pile of leafs." He pointed towards
the various objects he was referring to as he said this. "I can't do that, I'll
break my neck!" I shouted, "Oh ye of little faith." He smirked. He ran forward,
leapt 10 feet into the air, grabbed the branch, spun all the around it let go
and landed over 20 feet away from the tee in a small pile of leaves. "Wow." I
gasped. With my courage built up, I ran forward and leapt into the air, I saw
the branch coming closer and closer to me, until I could reach out and grab it,
then I spun around it a couple times until letting go a flying into the pile of
leaves. "Not bad, not bad at all." Vick said as he motioned me to the next
obstacle. I was beginning to feel thirsty again, but I hid my pains. Vick
pointed to a flagpole, "Climb to the top of that, and jump down." He said. I ran
up to it, and wrapped my arms and legs around it, quickly I scurried up it and
reached the top. I sat upon the top for a few moments and searched the area; I
saw a couple sitting a bench on the other side of the park. I so badly wanted to
go over to them and drink their fresh blood. However, I had more important
things to do now, so I jumped off the pole and landed right in front of Vick,
who was a good deal away from the pole. "Your thirsty, aren't you?" he said,
"How did you know?" I replied in a hurried voice, "Well, because I am as well."
He smiled. "I don't like killing people." I stammered, "I know, but we'll work
on that." He smirked as he put his head in the air and began sniffing around.
What the heck was he doing, I thought. Suddenly he stopped, put his head down,
and pointed towards the couple on the bench I had seen previously. He smiled and
said, "Let's eat." as he began walking towards them. I really didn't want to
follow him, as I knew what it was he planned to do, but I couldn't stop myself.
As we came within view of the couple, he stopped and whispered to me, "Now look
kid, you can't keep going around just sucking people dry and leaving them, you
have to be sneaky about it" we took a few steps closer. "Now this is what we're
going to do" he whispered to me, "We'll sneak up behind them, and each grab one.
Then we'll drag them into the trees and feast upon their flesh." He finished.
The very thought of what we where about to disgusted me, but at the same time I
wanted it so bad. We sneaked up behind the bench, and lunged towards the
unsuspecting couple, grabbed their heads and drug them into the trees. I dug my
teeth into the woman's neck, as Vick took the man's. We both finished them at
about the same time, and hid their bodies under a pile of leaves and branches.
"Now that's a good kill." Vick smirked, and he jumped up into a tree, "Well kid,
let's go back to your place and I'll explain some more about being a Vamp to
you." He called down as he jumped off in the trees. I got up, blood dripping
from my mouth; I wiped it off with my hand and licked it up. I heard a strange
noise by the bench, so I went to see what it was. I came out of the trees right
behind the bench, and looked over it. I saw something there that killed me
inside. Sitting right in front of the bench was a baby carriage, with a little
newborn crying his eyes out inside of it. Vick and I had just killed his
parents. I fell to my knees, and begin to cry uncontrollably. I had never
thought of the consequences of killing people. I never considered who it would
affect other then the one I killed. I had just ruined this poor babies life. He
had no parents, and would never even know what happened to them. I sat their
crying feeling horrible for what I had done. I hated myself, I wished I was
dead. I sat there for what felt like an eternity, until Vick came back, and
tapped me on the shoulder. "What's the problem, kid?" he asked, "I've been
waiting for you back at your house for an hour!" he proclaimed. "Look" I said
pointing towards the baby, "Oh…" he said in a calm voice. "Kid, you got to
understand, this is something that will happen from time to time. From now on
your going to have to kill people, and it's going to have side-effects." He
tried to reassure me. "No, no, no, no, no, NO! NOOO!" I screamed as I got up and
ran off as fast as I could. "Gherran! GHERRAN!" I heard Vick call, but I didn't
care I just wanted to run away from my situation and forget everything that had
happened to me.

Chapter 4: Reality

I ran as fast and as far as I could. The world blew by me as nothing more then a
fatal blur. I hated myself, I hated the world, and I hated life. Why did this
happen to me? Why does it happen to anyone? These are the thoughts that boggled
my mind, and filled my eyes with tears. I ran and ran trying to escape reality
itself.

Suddenly, I ran straight into something tall and fell back onto the ground. I
lay there for a few seconds before rubbing my head and raising myself to my
feet. I looked up at what I had run into, and discover that it was a man, a very
tall, and very angry looking man. "Uh, excuse me, sir" I mumbled. He looked down
at me, and sniffed the air. "Your going to die today." He said in a very deep
voice. Then he reached behind and pulled out a long silver sword. It glinted in
the moonlight as he raised it high above his head. Right when he was about to
deliver his fatal blow to my head, Vick came out of nowhere and knocked him
down! "Run kid!" Vick called out to me. The strange man got up and begin
swinging his sword at Vick, who dodged every swipe and punched the man whenever
he could. I stood there and watched in horror as the two fought. "You can't beat
me Vampire!" the man called out, "Your skills are weak, hunter." Vick responded.
Now I understood who this man was and why he was trying to kill us, he was a
Vampire Hunter!

Vick turned back towards me and called out, "Run damn it, run!" right before
jumping to the side of one of the hunters slashes. I turned around and began
running away, when a thought came unto me. I didn't want to live anyway, so why
should I let Vick risk his life for me? I turned around and charged at the
Hunter screaming. I slammed into him sending him flying back into a tree. He
dropped his sword and sat there. "What the heck are you doing?" Vick asked me. I
turned to him, but said nothing. Suddenly the hunter got back up and charged me.
I jumped straight up, he ran right underneath me. I landed right behind him, and
delivered my fatal blow. He dropped to the ground, dead. "Come on, we've got to
get out of here." Vick said to me.

We both went back to my house as fast as we could. "What the heck was that?"
Vick said to me, "You could have been killed!" I looked at him with an angry
look and said, "I have an indescribable hatred for myself burning in my mind. I
see no reason why I should have someone else risk their life for me." I turned
and sat down on my couch. "Well, it was pretty good. I've never seen a fledgling
take on a hunter so soon and not get killed." Vick said. Vick walked to my front
door and opened it. I heard him whisper something to himself, but I could make
out a part of it, "Hmm… He… powerful… future." It made no sense, "What did you
say, Vick?" I called to him, "Huh, oh nothing." He said turning around
surprised. I was getting tired again; I glanced at the clock it read 5:13am.
"Vick, the sun will be up soon, you might want to get home." I called to him,
"Yea, your right." He said as he got up and turned towards me, "I'll see you
tomorrow kid." He said as he walked out.

I went into my bedroom and lay down on my bed. My mind was racing with thoughts
of what I was going to do. I knew know that I was going to have to accept my
fate, as Vick and probably many other Vampires had. However, I couldn't accept
the fact that I was a mythical killing creature. It was just too much for me to
accept. I closed my eyes, and fell asleep. I had the most disturbing dream this
night. I saw 2 men, who I thought where hunters, walking towards my house. I saw
them at the front door, trying to gain access. I saw them finally break my lock
and get inside. I was awoken by a sudden load noise in my front room. I looked
at my alarm, 2:28pm. The sun was still shining! I got up slowly and quietly; I
cracked my door slightly, and looked out into my front room. To my horror I saw
the two men from my dream searching around my house! I closed the door again and
begin to panic. If I went out there I'd be killed, but if I tried to escape
outside I'd be cooked alive by the sun. I looked around my room trying to find
something of use. I went into my closet and looked around. I heard them right
outside my door, so I closed the closet doors and hid in there, trying to buy
any small amount of time. I saw them come into my room and begin looking around.
They both had long swords, just like the hunter in the park. I begin looking
around the closet frantically. I looked up and saw my saving grace. An access to
the attic! I quickly, and quietly opened the door and jumped up into the attic.
As soon as I got in the attic I closed the door and sat quietly. I heard the
hunters open my closet door and look around. I prayed for them not to see the
attic access. I could hear one of them say, "There's no vampires here, they must
of known we where on their trail." I was released a small sigh. I listened for a
few more minutes as they left my house. I then opened the attic door and looked
around my room. I saw that they had gone through all my dressers and
bookshelves, things where thrown around and broken. It was a horrible mess.

I jumped back down into my room, checked outside my door to make sure they where
gone. As soon as I cracked it open, one of them pushed it forward throwing me on
my back, "Gotcha!" he shouted as the two men shoved me into a large bag. I felt
them pick me up and carry me around, but I couldn't see through the bag to know
where I was going. I the felt them put me down, and I heard a car trunk slam
shut. I assumed that I was inside the trunk. I heard the car engine start, and I
felt the movement of the car, and the constant bumps in the road. After a good
hour or so I felt the car stop, and heard the trunk open. "Well vamp, not so
powerful now are you?" I heard one of them snicker to me, "Who are you? What do
you want?" I called out. "We're the Omega Hunters, and we want nothing more then
to kill you and your kind." He responded. I heard the trunk slam shut again, and
the car started moving once more.

I was very concerned at this point. What where they going to do to me? I was
scared. I felt the car stop again, and this time the engine shut off as well.
The trunk opened, and I could fell them pick me up once more. After a few
minutes the bag opened up and I fell out. I cowered afraid of the sun, but I
quickly discovered that there was no sun. I was inside of a small hut in the
middle of a forest. I looked around and saw other vampires huddled up in the
corners! "Where… where are we? What's going on?" I asked, "We're all going to
die fledgling." I heard a familiar voice respond. It was Vick! He was sitting in
the darkest corner, covered in blood. "What happened to you Vick?" I said as I
walked over to him, "I tried to fight back, but their where to many of them, the
beat me senseless, and I woke up here." He said as he coughed up some more
blood. "What's going on?" I stammered, "The hunters have collected a good amount
of us and now they are going to destroy us." Vick said, "How? What are they
going to do?" I was said in a scared voice, "Right before dawn they will let us
out at the edge of the forest, and watch us burn in the sunlight." Vick said
very slowly. "Oh my God." I gasped. I was scared, and yet was glad to know that
the end of my suffering was near.

Hours went by, and I made small talk with the other vampires. We discussed how
they became vamps and what it was like for them to make the change. I learned
that almost every vampire there had gone through the same miseries that I had.
It made me feel quite strange knowing that so many other people had suffered
like me. Suddenly one of the hunters walked into the hut, "Time to die my little
vampires!" he said laughing. Behind him about 20 hunters walked in and starting
grabbing vampires. "Come on, let's go." A hunter said to me as he grabbed me and
dragged me outside. They set us up in a line, and tied our hands and feet
tighter behind our backs. It was quite painful, and very uncomfortable. The
forest was filled with the sound of vampires moaning and groaning. There even
the often blood curdling scream. I could hear the hunters walking around behind
us, laughing and talking, but I couldn't see them. I hated them for making a
recreational event out of our suffering. How could they do this, didn't they
understand that we had suffered enough all ready? I grew angry inside, and
tugged on my ropes as hard as I could trying to release myself.

Although I had wanted to die hours ago, my hatred and want for revenge had grown
tremendously since then. I wanted nothing more then to kill every hunter in this
forest. I looked over and saw Vick struggling to get out of his binds. I looked
back forward, and saw the first rays of the sun coming up over the horizon.
"This is the end." I whispered to myself. I struggled and squirmed as the sun
rose higher and higher into the sky. I could see the shadows below slowly
shrinking. I wiggled one last time, and started rolling down a hill! I rolled
and rolled, and then landed inside a small cave at the foot of the hill! It was
completely dark, and I would be safe from the sun. What's more is it sounded
like the hunters didn't even notice I was gone!

Then it happened. I heard the most disturbing screams and gurgling noises. I
heard Vick scream out in pain and then a strange "BANG!" noise was heard. I
could also hear the hunters cheering and clapping, I hated them so much. After a
few minutes the screaming stopped, and I could hear the hunters packing up and
leaving. I heard cars and trucks drive off, and camp fires being put out. After
a good half an hour or so I could hear nothing but birds chirping.

I may have been alive, but I was stuck in a small cave, with hands and legs tied
up behind my back. I saw a jagged a little ways behind me; I squirmed to try to
get to it. I bounced my self up and down a little trying to reach the rock. I
finally made it to the rock, and begin trying to cut the ropes on it. I
stretched the ropes over the rock and moved them up and for what felt like
hours. Finally the ropes snapped and I was free! I sat myself up, and looked out
the cave. The sun was shining brightly over the forest, and I could see the
squirrels and birds in the trees. I started to get very tired, and laid down on
the ground. I closed my eyes, and fell asleep.

too much to read :)

But glancing through the first paragraphs, imo, you overuse the "I" too much. I understand it is needed, but try to join various phrases together sometimes to take the repetition out of it.

About the first paragraph, the first one is always the hardest, tho the paragraph content interests me, the reading makes me fall asleep a bit :) It opens the scene, but doesn't seem to punch me enough to keep reading. Maybe it is just me, but stories that start with characters at one end point, and then resuming their stories to the begining just seems boring :)

Good luck with it.
