how many days was that guy playing to get 220,000+ points on the highscore table?!

I seem to be able to manage the controls pretty easily - and I found ALien Flux controls to be really good!
Just me I suppose... :)

Anyone play the demo of a shareware game called Arcadrome?
Although it claims its a 3D game, the gameplay takes place on a 2D playing field, and also uses the mouse as the primary control mechanism. Gameplay is very similar to Alien Flux.

Interesting how many different control systems are used in very similar games, all with the aim of being the easiest to use.

Arcadrome... ye gods, there's a game with controller difficulties. Looks like it's basically a port of x-quest, but I'd say the scrolling screen going with it is a problem.

Hm, and people think my controls are difficult :/
I wouldn't say it uses the mouse as the primary control mechanism as it requires the keys to fire, whereas AF can now be entirely controlled by the mouse.

Arcadrome has excellent controls - just like Best Friends in fact - but the game was a bit sort of dull.

I'll just chime in to say that I think Space Dudes is extremely easy and natural to control, and Alien Flux is completely impossible to control. That of course is just how they feel to me personally. Shows that everybody sees things differently.

It's certainly a lot easier to get to a point you're trying to get to (I have a *terrible* time trying to pick up bonuses in AF) but I still have an inexplicable fondness for AF's control scheme. Except for my problem with shooting the fluffies because I instinctively double-tap shots. :)

But We Wait For New Version. :)
