does anyone know if theres a game out there like this? im looking for a new game to play, kinda like a real time MOO2.

Shatterstar and Space station manager so far are two that im thinkin about they are close and they look awesome!

A game from the Masters of Orioin series of 4X strategy games. 4x = eXplore, eXpand, some other x, and eXterminate. I can't remember the 3rd x.

im not sure, but pax imperia I (2 for the PC was terrible) was really cool, its all colony, research and fleet managament but it was real time, plus you could generate galaxays so big it would be days before you'd meet up with your buddies in the game.

now THATS a game id buy in a second, heh either that or I buy a MAC again;)

oh.. i remember... it's eXploit for all the politics.

Check out Escape Velocity, its is bit more arcade like, but it is a great space sim. Also the re-release of starcontrol2 (UQM) is a super space sim.

StarCon2 was my first PC game:) I loved that game and I replayed it with that recent open-source version.
