Just wondering if there are any good organisational apps floating around that are good for logging goals and accomplishments on a day to day basis?

If you just want a place to record what you've done, David Michael's The Journal (http://www.davidrm.com/) might be a good choice. Otherwise you could just use a spreadsheet if all you want is a list of items checked off.
Does anyone remember a program called "Flow" for the Amiga? It was supposed to be an "idea manager" and allowed you to create collapsible menus of your thoughts and ideas, really interesting. I can't find anything like it for the PC :(

I strongly suggest getting a pda for this. There are loads of free apps for them (PocketPC and PalmOS) that do all that and more. Also, you can keep them always with you in case you remember something in the bus and you can put a todo note on it.
I love my PPC, I only use it for project tracking (not even holding address or anything) and it is wonderful. Also allow syou to see your progress when you are out of the computer and record ideas (if it has a built in mic).
IT also doubles as a mp3 player if you really need a reason to buy one :)
