It's hard to find any real-world stats on developer sales, and from the few guys I've asked around the 'net so far, everyone has declined to talk about actual sales numbers, which I guess isn't too surprising. This forum seems to be filled with people who don't mind telling it how it really is, so... I thought I'd ask here ;)
Things that'd be great to know...
How many sales did you make in the first six months, assuming you've been going that long, for your best selling game? :) (if not, then for the first month would be great)
Info about your game would be also be great... maybe even a link!
How did you advertise your game? So, major websites you advertised on, etc.
How long has your game been out?
Anyway, what I'm looking to find out (in a round-about kind of way) is how well the average game is selling over the net, through strong advertising and weak, and by genre... etc etc. Any further information would be greatly appreciated, so some kind of a picture can be formed about selling games online. Feel free to go above and beyond the call of duty, and tell all about your sales ;) (so little ol' me can be informed).
Thanks all.
