What are some budgets you guys have used in the past to launch a product? Do you normally start out small and then measure the response or do you try and hit the market with a bang by promoting on all the top sites for a period of 3 months so that all visitors will know who you are?

I've seen products in general being advertised on all major sites, or hosting companies, this means they are paying out some real big bucks.

#1 What have you guys spent?
I know that you might not make that money up in the campaign period, but surely it will help with future sales as well.

#2 What are the top 10 sites that you guys advertise on ( I mean paid advertising)
