It's called Indie Game Developer Know-how, and it's written by the guy that runs Glips Entertainment. Just curious if anyone has read it, since I don't really feel like being a guinea pig for a self-published title.

@Mark Fassett: haven't read that, but I'm quite pleased with the book "the indie game development survival guide". If you are planning to make a purchase, purchase that one ;)
(oh... it's written by DavidRM ;) good book, must say)

I've already read David's excellent book. But I just can't get enough indie dev books ;) If the auther if Indie Developer Know-how book had just had a sample chapter up on his site, it'd probably be enough for me to make a decision.

I'm with Mark. With no other information available than a simple listing, I'm very reluctant to shell out $35. High-priced e-books are a hard sell, and even harder without some way to judge the content prior to purchasing.
And the stupid javascript mouse-tail bugs me too...

DavidRM:
i respect you as an author and am surprised by the snide remark.
however, i liked certain points
in your book when i browsed through it at B&N.
as far as what bugs "you" about my site, i'll just have to
say that i really do not care. :)

Maybe David was a little harsh, but you have to admit thats quite the distracting thing going on, when i read sites i usually use my mouse to highlight the bits im focusing on, with your site I found it frustrating trying to read the reasons why I should buy you book!
Just my 2cents.

I'm not sure what I said that was snide, unless you're referring to my comments on the mouse-tail.
I haven't said anything about the e-book itself except that there was insufficient information given in the promotional material to justify the high price tag. There is no reason to take that as "snide" or even "a little harsh". At worst, it's an unasked-for critique and you can ignore it at will. At best, you can take it as a cue to add more information about the contents of the book in an effort to attain more sales. Mark's suggestion of a sample chapter seems a workable idea, for example.
I meant no snide-ness (except about the mouse-tail) and I humbly apologize if that is how it came across.
