Hi All,
I have just bought a PC Dancemat. The left, right, up and down arrow keys are compatible with my games...but I cannot figure out the corresponding diagonal arrow equivalent on the keyboard. Any ideas on what they could be would be appreciated.

you mean the diagonal buttons are seperate buttons and don't just send up-left etc flags? Hmm that must be why a lot of them don't work with playstation adaptors then...
Can't you access the dance mats through a directinput device or are they mapped to keyboard buttons?
A little more info would be appreciated.

Hi Philip,
I have just found the corresponding keyboard buttons in the manual(hit's myself on the head for not looking in the manual first!).
For anyone that's interested:
Top left is "Q"
Top Right is "E"
Centre is "S"
Bottom left is "Z"
Bottom right is "C"

Actually, it depends COMPLETELY on the mat and the adapter used. I've investigated this some for my DDR-playing purposes, so I have more detailed info:
If it's a made-for-PC mat, you look at the manual obviously :P In this case it lets you map to the keyboard, which doesn't sound hard to work with.
If it's a Playstation mat and you have an PS-to-PC adapter...well, there are basically two general kinds(and more specific brand names) of adapters that I know of:
-Map the arrows to joystick axes. Bad for dance mats in general; these won't let you press two arrows on the same axis at the same time! Or they try to, by using a trick where it rapidly switches directions, but either way it's unsatisfactory for most games using a pad.
-Map each arrow to a joystick button. These are the good kind; setup and usage are pretty much self-explanatory.
