Is anyone following this? I'm starting to get really excited about this X-Prize competition


This company made the news for breaking the sound barrier yesterday.. and there is a team competing in my town of London Ontario.

Seems like space travel is the new geek hobby!? Wierd. But I can certainly understand the fascination. Hopefully casual space vacations will become common within our lifetimes. It would be kinda nifty to float around up there looking down on the planet. I better become a rich geek myself, and see you all in space! :D

I did a little subcontract programming work for one of the companies involved in the X Prize competition. They wanted a mini-game that would showcase their technology so my job was to modify an existing game to do it. They were planning to offer the game as a free download from their site, but that hasn't happened yet so I'm not sure what's up with that. It's a pretty cool-looking game, though, so I hope they decide to release it.
