I've worked alot on improving Goose Chase in the last couple of monthes.
For those who checked the game last time, I made significant changes:
1. Website completely changed : http://www.gilzu.com/ , I believe it looks much better.
2. The Demo scheme was changed: you start from the level selection screen, so there's no annoying menu on the way. different nag screens, ect. (Download link (http://gilzu.fileburst.com/GooseChaseSetup.exe))
3. Solved TONS of technical issues (special thanks to dreeze).
I'll appriciate any feedback

I could finally see the game , it worked on my pc ! ( radeon 9800 )
It's very smoooth ( vsynched )
I don't think the music and sfx are suited to the game ( that's my personnal opinion though )
The menus are not well integrated ( looks like you forgot to add them and then added some fonts on top of the whole thing )
I find the site too dark, it's a happy game, it should reflect happiness, not hardcore gaming.
Apart from that, it's a great game, there's a communication gap between the site and the game i think ( hardcore look for a cute game )
pat.

yup, until i found someone (thanks again dreeze) with Radeon 9xxx who was willing to go lengths and find what was the problem that ONLY affected Radeon 9800 & 9700. Strangly enough, it was Micro$oft text unit!

Actually, thats what I changed to let the player go straight play the game and not bother him with menus.

10x!
I'd look into that.

As I were you I would definitely remove black background. Just pick up one of those color schemes from the web and go from there, no need to reinvent the wheel :) Gotta see the game...

Okkay... downloaded and tested it. I have played the previous version so I can compare the new version to it. I didn't experience lots of changes (maybe they could be found under the surface ;)) but here are my notes:
PLUS:
-Player char now stays better on the field => in the previous version he dropped much too easily to those black thingies. this is better (not best, but better... read on.)
-I like all those bonus stuff (don't really much know what they all do - but I like them. Don't know how many of those were in the previous version...?)
MINUS:
-I dislike the font :)
-Even that the player now stays better on track.. he still easily drops to those black holes => I think this should be done easier... not sure how - but maybe he wouldn't die immediately when he falls - maybe he could try to grap the edge (if player presses action button fast enough) and climb back? Or... perhaps he would automatically stop or dodge or something before falling...? I don't know - I just think he falls too easily
Nice game you got there. Good luck with the sales :)
(oh... one selling suggestion: I really don't know what I get if I buy it - game doesn't tell it (or it went unnoticed by me) and neither does your website)

Yes i agree with morphecy, not sure what you get when you buy the full version.
7 zones and 18 randomly generated levels ? what's the difference between a zone and a level ? ( confusing for a non native english speaker like me )
Also "randomly generated" doesn't sound appealing to me.
How about something like:
7 Worlds
18 unique levels ?

Gil,
The game looks much neater now. The new textures are so beautiful. The grass even looks like there is depth. The gameplay is wonderful. The shadow is very helpful to see the right position, you could leave it on all the time, not just while you are jumping; that could make the gameplay even better.
For the level selection part you could put a message box before you start running instead of writing "select a level" on the screen. Also you could notify the user that ESC key is used to pop up the menu.
Much much better game now, so what's next?

Morphecy: Youre right, I should specify more on what youre getting on the full version.
I plan to do an update every 2-3 weeks, next one will surely be adding more gameplay elements, and other stuff you mentioned here.
I've also started to work on a new game, this one is a guaranteed blast (also a platformer, more on the action :) ).
