Has anyone here had any dealings, good or bad, with GarageDeveloper International? I know they're not the same guys as Garage Games.
Their website is at: http://www.garagedeveloperinternational.com
Thanks.

I guess you received their email too ? :)
I thought it was coming from here (indirectly) but I used a diffferent email address to register to this forum .
Anyway it can't hurt to look at them.
I rarely refuse any channel to distribute my demos :)
I haven't had the time to visit their website and read the fine prints yet though.

I got an message from them too. They sent it to "support_a27@gearhand.com." I automatically tag the email address in my PAD files (among other things) with a dynamic id, so I can track which web request it came from. It seems likely he compiled a list of XML pad files from the ASP, but in any case this email is definitely from my PAD. He ran a script to grab and parse them on the fly, which he ran repeatedly and with great delight between 10-31 and 11-03 using IP "221.10.79.7."
It costs nothing to simply get on their collection, so I'm in for that. Free is good. :) I'd love to hear if anyone has tried a sponsored slot on previous Indie Game Madness CDs.

Yes, I received their email. Was wondering whether it would be worth my while replying! :)

I've mailed them like, 3 times or something, asking them to stick the game that should not be mentioned on their CD, but obviously they realise it's cursed and aren't wasting any bandwidth actually replying in case the curse gets them.

pr: ...obviously they realise it's cursed and aren't wasting any bandwidth actually replying in case the curse gets them.
You never know; they could have downloaded it, and are now cursed, such that they no longer have e-mail access. (I'm also going to deny that your game is a curse, but I thought I'd toss that in.)

One caveat is that if someone tosses your game in with a dozen others in a horrid, schlocky package, it may actually diminish your own product.

Strange thing is, within minutes of posting, I get a "woops we're sorry" reply... ;) Hopefully something good will happen...

Can you add my Pax Solaris (http://www.nbsd.de/paxsolaris.htm) game on the new collection too?
Btw, how many of the Indie Game Madness CDs are you usually shipping?

niels, your game is in the queue.:)
thanx for submitting.
to date including all current volumes just under 4500.
"funded out of my own pocket"
there is a certain magic number that i'd like to hit for this year's batch of volumes.
also to everybody else who have submitted, a simple thank you
here does not do justice. a thank you page will be posted
on the site once the deadline has been hit.
any other developers who have not submitted...feel free.
at any rate, i'm thoroughly surprised:)

Hehe :) No, thank you, this is probably the only time that many of these games will ever find their way onto a CD!
