How do you get your game reviewed on the many games sites out there? i.e. So an editor goes over your game play testing it and giving their evaluation. Do games just get reviewed if one of the editors happens to come across an interesting game. Or is the approach more like, you (developer) send an email to a dozen games sites telling them you've got a game that you think they'ed be interested in reviewing.

Also, when's the best time to get a game reviewed do you think? Immediately upon completion, or some time down the road when you have more to say about the game e.g. once you have 1000 or 10,000 sales.

Last thing, those who have had their games reviewed by sites, was there any noticable increase in sales.

Email the appropriate reviewer about your game and ask if they'd like to review it.

Internet reviews do increase sales but it's hard to determine unless the buyer tells you where they heard about the game (About 10% in my experience.)
I was lucky enough to get a review in ComputerActive! magazine which doubled my sales for a couple of weeks. So make sure you send your game to all the mags out there.

It _is_ very important to delay asking for reviews until you are sure your game is perfect - or, at least, free of any major problems.

Yeah, I think we'll wait a while before asking to get our games reviewed. As there are a few posible negative things that they could say about a game, i.e. Sound effects, Extra Help, Few bugs, Language Selection.
