http://www.downloadhosting.com - anyone heard of them?

I am happy with my web host for web page hosting, but downloads often cut out halfway. With a web page this isn't a problem because of small file sizes, but downloads (around a meg) need to finish or people will get frustrated.

The other advantage is that the bandwidth on downloadhosting is dirt cheap (tat's the whole point of the service). I just wondered if anyone had any experience with them before they ruin off with my money and give me a really shoddy service.

BTW Hi - (waves hand) - I'm new here :D

I have had no experience with DownloadHosting, but per-Gigabyte, it may be cheaper to go with EV1Servers (www.ev1servers.net , nee' Rackshack), as they offer 700GB/mo transfer for as low as $89, versus DownloadHosting's 700GB for $185. I am renting one of their Redhat 9.0 systems for about $110/mo; this also comes with 700GB/mo.

Thing is i don't need that much space. I'm fairly new to the shareware whatsit. I have one (not very good) game, and am about to release an app that should sell better.

The most bandwidth I have needed is about 20-25 gig. So spending $89 is a bit much. The 40 gig offer on downloadhosting looks pretty good.

I have just been told about powweb though where you get 5gig a day for $7 a month, which seems pretty good. It's just a shame those 5 gig are squashed onto a single day. I've found that the downloads seem to come in clumps, where its really busy for a few days then nothing, until someone else big mentions something on my site.
