Some quick observations:

- The collision detection is way too much in favor of the enemies. I jump up and turn into a RIP when the bad guy is still at least 4 pixels away. You may want to make this a little fairer on the player.

- I played in fullscreen and after quitting the game, all my windows had moved to the upper-left corner of the desktop (probably the 640x480 rectangle that your game uses). I hate that!

- The in-game graphics themselves are not too bad, but the fonts and colors on the other screens (title, etc.) are very inconsistent. If you'd patch that up a little, the game would come across much more polished.

Other than that, it's a fairly standard platform type of game. It didn't set me on fire, but most games of this type don't :) -- so I'll leave it to someone else to judge the actual gameplay :)
