For those of you who have sold other developer's games (or any software for that matter) through an affiliate program (such as eSellerate's or RegNow's), what kind of information do you get about the customer? Specifically, do you get their e-mail address and other personal information? The reason I'm asking is because I'm wondering about the feasibility of a "value-added" service, wherein the third-party affiliate offers extras to customers who buy games through their site. Extras might include phone tech support, extended money back guarantees, etc. I'm not concerned with whether or not such extras would be financially viable at this point, but rather whether or not there's even enough information passed on to the "middleman". Thanks!

PS--My apologies if this is the second appearance of this thread. My first submission appeared to have failed so I rewrote and resubmitted it.

As for Regnow and BMT Micro affiliation - you only receive a sale notice e-mail, no customer name/e-mail/etc. I assume the same is true for other services.

?

In email that is all you receive perhaps, but unless something is different, with RegNow you get the name and email address of every customer on every order...from looking through my control panel...

Cyrus... are you sure about that? This is not for RegNow orders of your own products, but acting as an affiliate for other people's products. Even in my control panel when I do an order list I do not get any information, all I get is

Date/Time, Game, Order ID, Commission

(again, if it's someone else selling one of my games as an affiliate I get all the info)

Hmm, I was afraid that was the case. Rats. Back to the drawing board, I guess. Thanks, Midnight.

Sorry, I was thinking about your own products. :(
