I wouldn't mind see more than one developers thoughts on the organization. His email response to the Gamedev news story was interesting too, but I've yet to see any rebuttle from the developer who made the original accusations.

In my opinion I think you should gather facts before you try and get him and his company blacklisted. But that's just my opinion.

Yes, I too would love to hear what that guys from Polyfrag have to say to Gregory's response. His response was what I was expecting to hear after reading the original accusation.

My strange feeling about this whole thing came from one fact...how did GLIPS even get the code to Gunocide 2 to begin with? The accusation stated that the version used to make MonsterTron was the 2 version, not the 2 EX version that was GPL'd. Unless they had some really strange contract (of the sort I would never sign), I wouldn't expect an indie developer to be providing full source to an indie publisher. It seemed to me then that GLIPS probably got the source through some other method.

Of course, whether or not the whole story around MonsterTron is legit is one matter. Garage Developer publishing MonsterTron, when they already have a contract to publish Gunocide 2, is a whole different matter. To me, it seems to be a conflict of interest. How could Garage Developer even pretend to be putting their full effort into marketing Gunocide when they are simultaneously marketing an almost identical game?

The story, in my estimation, seems to involve a lapse of judgement on both parties...Polyfrag for giving out the source without full terms in writing, and Garage Developer for publishing a game virtually identical to and based on one they already have a contract for.

Yes I agree, that is why I cleared some things up :)

www.garagedeveloperinternational.com appears to have gone "off the air." I get a DNS error now when I try to go there or ping it. This may be just a coincidence, but it does appear to support polyfrag's grievances.

I just noticed that myself as I was trolling for news. They tend to go down more than most websites I notice. In fact, this morning I noticed that an unusually large number of sites I check were down. Out of 105 indie gaming websites that I check 8 of them are currently down, usually there aren't any.
