Consultancy work, like webdesign for companies is not easy to carry out. In for instance Holland, but also other countries around the world the internet hype is in big lines over. There are many internet companies bankcrupt. Also the economy in Holland, but also in other countries is not healty at this moment, but also for the next year 2003 it will be even worser. So finding customers is very difficult. The target to reach are the small companies, but how do you catch them in a bad economy? If the most don't want to spend money, it will be difficult to live as a freelancer. So do you got any experiences or ideas? Also for databases there are problems in the market. The big companies for instance are not spending much in new databases. The small companies are not wanting to spend money either.

I think that the only segment of the software market which is growing right now is the security market. If I were you I'd reinvent myself as a "security consultant" :)

How do I need to carry this out, any suggestions? Do you mean developing security software and contacting companies for consultancy on this field. You are by the way right, companies are now more focusing on security of there company informationsystems.
