This is what I'm talking about (press release services).
http://www.dpdirectory.com/
http://www.prweb.com/
I've searched this forum and people seems to like dpdirectory, but I couldn't find anything about prweb.
So I would like to ask if anyone has anything to say about them.
Or even better, anyone used both?
Do you think it's better to spend the money at dpdirectory than do it for free at prweb?
None of them is games only, which would have been the best.
Maybe someone has experience with some other service?
Thanks!

Okay, I have no experience with either one, however, if you have been paying attention to any of my recent rants I am launching a full service marketing company for indy games.
My concentration is going to be full marketing of games (everything from game design issues to advertising and submitting to download sites).... however, additionally I will be offering the one-off services such as press release writing and press release submission that is related to VIDEO GAMES ONLY. The press contact list contains over 300 game sites.
Conclusion, send me an e-mail at marketing@dragonclawstudio.com (my work e-mail until I get this business fully online). I can promise that I will do it at less cost to you and targetted at video games using the same press contacts Dragon Claw Studio uses. That is both writing and releasing the press release.
Sincerely,
Joseph Lieberman

I've used both in the past, and my suggestion is -- use both. :)

@Joseph: Sounds like an interesting service, when do you think that you'll have a website up and running?
@Dexterity: Do you mean that we should use both at the same time with the same press release?
Thank you for the quick replies!

Yes. You'll get some double-coverage, but each will hit some publications that the other won't. PR is cheap, but it's like throwing darts at a dart board. Usually you'll miss the center, but every once in a while you'll hit a bulls eye. Using both PR services together is like getting a lot more darts to throw.

Website will be online around the end of this summer, however, I don't technically need a website to perform the service for something like this. I suggest sending me an e-mail, marketing@dragonclawstudio.com and I will give you a price quote (I dont want to post anything on a forum about price until I am certain of what prices I will be using, but rest assured it will be a good deal).
