I havent been to Download com for a while, just visited and it as a new look.

The most notable thing is the way they have now sectioned the site with three large buttons "Software" "Music" and finally "Games"... in that order by the way.

Is it just me or is this "Music" section a new thing and more importantly will it dilute the game downloads?

So far I haven't noticed a drop in downloads originating from download.com.

The one change I haven't liked is the new "pop-up" windows when clicking on the link to the "Publishers" site. Removes the address bar and doesn't send referring site headers in IE.

It looks ok to me but I'm not using download.com a lot. Right now I'm downloading the Starcraft demo. It goes very slow despite DSL. :-( It was some time since I played Starcraft so I look forward to trying some levels..

CNET just bought mp3.com, so music is their next big thing :)
