My game might be a bit far from completion,
but i'm thinking of building a website for it.
Probably it will be a subst of my personal
page ( http://www.gilzu.com ).

I would like to hear your opinions about:
1. what should be in a game webpage?
so far i know i should give a decent idea what
the game is about, plot, screenshots, concept art(?)
what else?
2. since its my main occupation this days,
how much of my personal site should it take?
i mean, should i keep it as a sub-site, or
mix it with the current one?

I'll appreciate any comments on the subject.

Well one of the things that works for us is to seperate our company page and game page entirely. I haven't done enough expirementation to konw weather this increases the relevency of the game page or not. But for me when I post on various forums around the web I include links to the main company page in my sig(this forum being the exception). Yet consistantly the game page gets more hits then the company page.

We haven't done ANY marketing to speak of (other then links in sigs) and yet we get about 20-30 new ip addresses hitting our site every day and a good number for repeat visits. The funny thing is that a majority of these hits are going to the game page directly and not comming in through the company page. Which makes me think that the game page has higher relevence to search engines because it does not contany any company info.

We at Rainfall Studios are very much marketing newbies and our site is a "hodge podge" work in progress but so far we've had good feedback from those who have bothered to send any. ;)

You are welcome to check it out.. and even better if you gave us some feedback we'd be much appreciateive.
