I've been looking for an artist to replace the artwork of Feyna's Quest (http://eldwood.com/feyna/) for over a year now with no success. Every time I do find an artist, they disappear before any actual work gets done. I'm starting to get desparate. Any advice?

You can check rentacoder.com (http://www.rentacoder.com) , you may find good one there.

I remember seeing you post the specs of that job once... but (like everyone else at pixelation most likely) quailed in fear once I saw the amount that needed done. As I'm sure you know, there's a few really pro people and a lot of kids who can be talked into small projects, but not big ones. I've had to wait months to get a single sprite done (and then had to retouch the whole thing anyway since someone didn't LISTEN to me when I explained about certain things).
And the few pro people are quickly hired away by companies with more to offer.
Luck is definitely wished to you.

I didn't know rentacoder.com listed artist jobs. I may give them a try.

It doesn't look like a difficult job for the tile artist, but.. that does look like a hefty job for the guy who tackles the more complex backgrounds, and sprites.
You could always post here and see what happens! :)

I've used http://www.kennethfejer.dk/ for 2D art.
He's fast and reliable.

Yeah, but Kenneth tends to work at the smaller end of the pixel scale (ie, loves GBA stuff). He's a nice bloke, though, so definitely worth a try.

It might help if you posted here what kind of a deal you're looking for. Do you want a 1-1 art replacement or are you willing to change the code and the game to accomodate some art changes?(like more movement frames for certain sprites for instance). Are you looking for someone to share profit with or to pay an outright contract fee to?
