I only this post this your amusement or edification, not because there's any scientific accuracy, but...

Hamsterball@14.99+: 90% of sales European, 10% of sales American
Hamsterball@11.99: 90% of sales American, 10% of sales European.

Totals sales @11.99 about 10% higher than @14.99

You old world folks hate a bargain, is it?

We (UK) are so used to being overcharged compared to everyone else that it just doesn't feel right to get a bargain. ;)

So dropping the price has actually lost you money so far.
100 X 14.99 = 1499
110 X 11.99 = 1319

That's interesting to know. Have you been doing it long enough to decide whether the price drop will be worth it in the long run? I've always wanted to try it.

I've floated it around a little bit. I had it at $11.99 for two weeks, down from $19.99. It started to sell about double per day, so that made money. Then I tried pumping it up to $14.99... and sales fell to the point that it was making either the same amount, or very slightly more than when it was $11.99.

So I'm just leaving it at $11.99. We have some tentative plans to put out six more races, and if we leave it at $11.99, we might charge $5 for the "Hamspansion" and see how that goes.

Why don't you get an ip->country database and offer 2 different prices? One for European, and one for American? That way you can get 90% both ways

My copy cost $19.99, does that mean the expansion pack will be free for me?

(if it happens)

Mike Boeh, when are you releasing a new game :) My card burns for some retro64 action.

You tried that? In my experience I don't know if it is worth the effort...
anyway I'd sell a game like that for 24.95$, not a penny less :)

maybe, but it needs to have a lot of levels, and really ram down your throat how many there are in the demo version.

Your video card or your credit card? :-)
Soon... I will have a beta up here within the next few weeks...

Anyway, an ip2country database is free, and very easy to implement...

You know after playing Best friends to death, there was only one thing missing... I yurned for a Level Editor :)

What was level making like for that game? was it hard?

Any chance of a sequel or new level pack on the horizons?

Be careful about drawing conclusions after price changes. We've noticed any price change, either to lower or higher, causes sales slowdown. It takes atleast a week after price change for sales to re-establish a normal pattern. My guess is changes cause window shoppers to consternate.

From the huge change you saw in countries, I'd guess something different happened with your referring traffic.

I think it should be related to your refering trafic, here, in the old world, bargains are as much appreciated as anywere else
