Hello all, I just stumbled upon this forum and am very excited to see such an active indie community. I have made a couple of small freeware games (a tetris clone, and a missile command clone) to learn about game programming. I am now ready to move on and have assembled a larger team for my next project.

The next project aims to be a realtime 3D space sim. Story driven and single-player. My question is: What are my odds for finding someone to publish this game. I have no delusion that some massive company is going to foot the bill for it. But it would be nice to have other options.

From looking at a few indie publishing sites, most of the games are arcade/puzzle. But since this game will have a larger scope, and be in development longer, where does it fit in?

All discussion is highly appreciated. And here (http://www.exodus-game.com) is a link to the game's in-progress website

Hi chmod and welcome aboard. You might want to check out this thread (http://www.dexterity.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=486) if you haven't already. It mentions a few publishers that might be interested in what you're making. Good luck!
