Is anyone else here getting spammed by Elena Kovaleva from the Games Banner Network? I get these spams at least once a month (I consider it spam because I never asked for their services, regardless of how relevant it may be). The email contains no unsubscribe URL. I tried ignoring the emails thinking I would just get one or two, but they keep coming. I got one less than 2 weeks ago and had had enough. I replied to the sender telling them in no uncertain terms that I did not want to be on the list, for them to remove every email address at my domain from the list (they like to alternate messages between different address), and that if they didn't cease I would turn their info over to every email blacklist I can find. Of course that didn't deter them one bit, because I found another message in my inbox today.

If you've nicely asked to be taken off a couple times, I suggest you report them to spamcop:
http://www.spamcop.com/
Spamcop will parse all of the headers, and determine the real sender(s), even if the headers are forged or obfuscated. It then sends complaint emails to abuse and admins of every person involved, including any open relays along the way.
Worse, Spamcop also compiles blacklists that ISPs can then use to filter spam.
I used it for a while, and felt like it really did have an effect on the spam I received.

www.alawar.com
www.gamextazy.com
www.gamesbanner.net
All 3 of these sites are owned by the same company and are hosted on the same server (alawar.ru)
Alawar appears to be an indie publisher.

This isn't relevant to the problem you are asking about, but FYI never click on a spam message's unsubscribe link. In many cases spam is sent randomly, without the sender even knowing if the address is good, and clicking their "unsubscribe" link merely confirms that yours is a valid email address to direct more spam to.
Spam email makes me think wistfully of telemarketing. Both are annoying but with the latter at least you get the satisfaction of slamming the phone down on the telemarketer.

Generally true. However, in this case, I already knew about the Games Banner Network, I've seen (what I believe are) their banners on various reputable shareware sites. Thus I had the impression that they were a reputable company themselves. I guess I might have been wrong.
