Is anybody else experiencing a significant slow down in sales this week?

Got a freeware game out and so i don't get sales. But i noticed a decreasing number of downloads this week. Dropped about 20%. Strange...

we've also had the same problem for the last 2 weeks!!
That's what I need to hear :( A market crash just as I'm prepping my game for release, lol.

I think war jitters are the primary reason sales are slumping and it doesn't look any better for the months to come...

Oddly enough, my international orders are normal, or above, while US sales are down.

Don't know if this helps any. But from what I've read in the news paper the stock market always drops just before a war. And when the war gets underway it takes off again.

Lets hope it's a quick war and gasoline prices go to the lowest ever.. and everybody gets back into the unconscious consumerism that allows our games to sell online :p

It doesn't go up again. The world markets decline due to uncertainty and war certainly isnt an enironment for stable economic relations. In fact, I am sure the war is going to make everything more expensive, considering oil is behind every single product on earth and that the arab nations will force up the price per barrel (already happening, went up 30c for us lat week). Maybe when the new government takes over and Iraqs oil reserves are used the price will come down, but that's not going to happen for a while.
