I have only played the trial version of Fortune Raiders. I am very loathe to buy the full package due to the fact I am convinced the game heavily favours the computer opponent especially when your findings are 40000 greater than the the computer opponent. Has anybody else noticed this?

Each computer player has a different level of risk-taking, but the computer players don't know what's behind each obstacle anymore than you do. They just make good guesses based on probabilities. Myrna is the most conservative and will often leave earlier than she should. Chief is the most aggressive and will often take big gambles to try to collect more treasure before leaving a room.

If you are the first player to leave the room with more than $1 million, the computer players will keep picking treasures until they blow up or beat you, since they're guaranteed to lose if they leave that final room with less than you. A human player would do the same thing.

Once you get good at the game, you should be able to beat any computer player most of the time, including Chief. But there's still a lot of luck involved, so even good players will still lose sometimes.
