There's a new issue of my mag... Indie Gamer (formerly Shareware Gaming) up at the new domain...

http://www.indiegamer.com

Apologies to those who read regularly and have been waiting forever. There's not too much new content there as I've been extremely busy over the last few months. Still there is a new interview and a few reviews as well as a new What's New section to look at. Enjoy. Let me know if there are any problems accessing the new site.

Double hurrah!
I can go to my shitbag consultancy job today with a big smile on my face having seen this :) Maybe one day I won't have to go there ever again!

Cas :)

I really do like the game. I have a feeling you'll have some trouble selling it online because of the difficulty level and technical requirements of the game, but hopefully you can find your niche audience or tweak it to a point where it will get the recognition it deserves. Good luck with it.

I've been waiting for the new edition!
The new design looks great - well done!

Like the new branding, but the colors (or lack thereof) throw me off a little. Good to see an issue this month, it's been missed!

I like the new name, but the choice of a black background with grey buttons seems a little bit too dark.

I was thinking of making the entire site just black and white.. Something distinctive about it that I like. But actually the lack of color comes from the fact that I was working on the site and I kept changing the color scheme around, and I couldn't find something that I liked so in the interim I decided to just do shades of grey. I'll likely add some color back in.

Actually, I'm just glad that you're still maintaining an indie site. I love the interviews the most and your latest interview was the first thing I read after quickly checking the what's new section.

More interviews to come... I'm doing one now and probably will have 2 up in august if I can. I think I will also start a series on 3D modelling and rendering for the articles section.

That's great. I'm sure many other people are looking forward to them as well. Have you thought of having a newsletter to announce updates? I really like that you post about them here though anyway.

There is a newsletter already. It's mostly a notice list that lets people know there's a new issue coming, but I may expand it into something more interesting later. The sign up form is basically the entire banner of the main page... not sure how anyone misses that. I guess I'll add a bright yellow and red flashing arrow or something :-)

How in the heck did I miss that? Well I know I took a quick glance at the buttons on the left to look for a newsletter button or entry box. I guess I ignored the very top of the page somehow and missed the entry box way on the right.

On that note, look at my site (quickly! I will be removing it later today, July 9, if I'm unlazy enough).

Would you believe that some people failed to notice that?

Also, Steve: you need to make SGM forward, or have a huge notice that you should be hitting indiegamer... I had SGM bookmarked until I saw this notice!

Yes I'll do that. Just haven't had a chance. I'm busy busy busy... Just have to collect 4 more brains and I'll be finished all 1001 worlds in that beta... fewf... Just kidding :-)

Actually in reality I have some fluffies to save....

I have to concur with the above statments, while all the content is great quality, I really do enjoy the interviews the most. It's great to hear from people we dont normally hear from, or hear new insights from familiar faces.

Miss what? I didn't see anything. By the way, I've been trying to order games between July 4th and July 8th, but the orders and emails didn't go through. ;) JUST KIDDING! :D

I'll third that. The interviews are pure gold for a starting out indie that wants to get some insights from the successful guys. They're the first thing I read as well.
