Hello

People I know and I submitted ( well tried to submit ) games to the real arcade contest, but we have no feedback at all, so we can't even register.

I was wondering if other people have the same experience with that, if so, is it a fake contest and they already picked one of their friends as a winner ;) ( yes! i'm a conspiracy theorist :p )

or what's wrong with them ?

pat.

LOL
Maybe they're receiving so much email they cannot even answer!
well... this is the only valid excuse they could have :)

They are swamped.

But it *would* be nice to see someone from Real ( Dave are you listening?!?) on the forum telling us that, rather than just seeing the "I haven't heard from Real" posts.

It could be enough to just add an automated email reply saying "we're swamped by submission, you'll receive an answer as soon as possible". Remember that not every indie read this forums, only 99% :D

Hey there!

Just thought I'd drop in here and say "NO! It's not fake!"

The submission "window" for games in the contest just opened on July 1, and will run through July 31. We announced the contest at GDC, but wanted to give people time to build thier games, which is why we didn't start taking submissions until recently.

But do NOT submit contest games through the normal game submission process (gamesubmissions@real.com), and don't send 'em directly to me either. Since this is an official contest, we legally can only accept contest entries through the contest entry process posted on:

http://gamedevs.realonearcade.com

Make sure you read the official contest rules carefully - among important other things, this contains the information about the submission window dates.

If you signed up for this site and never received a password, please let me know. We did have a problem with that e-mail auto reply a while back. Any other questions, feel free to contact me directly.

I hope to see your games soon!
