Seeing that today is a slow day (as proven by the cats thread popularity), I'm posting an extremely-pre-alpha screenshot of our game currently in development, Betty's Beer Bar.

I think the gameplay is somewhat obvious from looking at this screenshot, but we'll throw in some surprises, too :)

What do you think?

My first impression is I think the ground is much too bright/satured/whatever.. you need to subdue those colors a bit so the characters stand out. Otherwise it looks pretty nice :)
The zombie guy has a really weird nose btw :)

Yep, I agree, I don't like the floor as it is right now. As I said, is an extremely pre-alpha :)

The zombie guy is actually Alien. The text in his t-shirt is supposed to mean that ;)

Precisely, part of the interest of the game will be the (not usual) appearance of "weird" characters, such as Alien, Super (the guy in the left), Santa, and a few others...

Ah, oops.. didn't read the text on the shirt :) He still doesn't look much like an Alien to me though..

Be careful with copyrights and stuff, too..

reminds me of the game Tapper on C64.

that was my first thought when i saw the screenshot.
i miss playing that game on my old XT...

Wow, that looks really impressive! Betty has some nice curves on her too. :D

About tapper : I played Tapper on the ZX Spectrum and an old CGA version. Yes, it's some kind of inspiration here, but the gameplay will be a little more complex :)
