I am about to finish a game and need a name for it.
It's about a tennisball that bounces through a land and has to solve puzzle rooms.
What about?
- Star Bounder
- Super Bounder
- Bounder Ball
- Bounder Ball in Monsterland
- Bound-a-round
- Bound-Around
- Tennis without Racket ;-)

Sorry for the lame question but i don't know where to ask. Except gamedev.net, but there i only get suggestions like >Daikatana< ;-)

I would go with 'Bounder Ball' and reserve 'Super Bounder Ball' for version 2.
Other thoughts:
===========
Bounce-about
Tuzzle (Tennis + puzzle)
Out-of-bounds
Ball World
Puzzle Ball

What about "Rebound"? Or maybe a sound-effect type of name or derivative? Like boingo? Or what about:
Bounce-o-rama :)
Mega-Bounce
Mega-Bound
Ultra-Bounce
Uber-Bounce
Ultra Rebound
Ball-o-rama
Re-ball (sorry, off the top of my head)

You must be the author of 'Frozen Fruits'... I remember downloading it a long time ago because of the intriguing name. In fact, when I saw your screenshots, the name instantly jumped back into my head. I think it is a nice name for the original game because it also says something about the gameplay.
I like 'Bound Around' the best from your list. A few more:
Star Smasher
Smash Ball
Break Through
Tennis Turmoil
I enjoyed FF, looking forward to the release of Crazy Puzzle Tennis Fighter.

Whoops! Okay, DON'T use that one! :) I won't be held responsible! Sorry, I thought that was Ricochette, but I guess that's another game. :o

as far as i remember it is the same game, maybe they just localized that. ('Ricochet' for the europan, german market, 'Rebound' for US)
could be wrong though...

Here's my theory on naming games: people should be able to quickly find your game, on standard search engines, even if they only fuzzily remember the name of the game.
To that end, I suggest:
Use a unique word.
You want your game to be near the top, or at the top, of search results at Google and the like. If, for example, you named your game Ball Bounce, your poor prospective clients would be buried in irrelevant search results.
I like a unique word more than a unique phrase. If people remember the name, I think it's easier to remember "oh yeah, it was all one word". So I think stooping to a compound word is fine.
Use a name that's easy to spell.
The name 10-is * Puz-ill is unique, alright, so you'd pop out at the top of Google searches. If anyone ever remembered how to spell it. If your game gets any word-of-mouth advertising, you want people to be able to easily derive the correct spelling based on shaky memories.
Personally, "clever" punctuation (".hack//INFECTION", "kill.switch") does nothing for me, and it makes the name hard to remember.
Use a word where you can get the domain.
The other way people will try to find your game is by just typing it into their browser window's Address bar. People just assume that productname.com works--and, durn it, it should. So if you can't get yourgamenamegoeshere.com, I suggest you get another name.
Remember: every name sounds kinda dumb until it's popular.
How many times have you heard the name of a new game or movie and thought "that sounds dumb"? By the hundredth time you hear it, it doesn't sound so dumb anymore. Success increases cool factor.
Does that help?

There was a famous game called Bounder (and then Rebounder) back on the ZX Spectrum/Amstrad/C64 by Gremlin Graphics in around 1986.
Of those suggested, Im definately most keen on the Bound-around and Tennigma as well. (with preference on the former)

Thanks for the answers.
Yes,i know Bounder on the C64,it was a great game. That's where the whole Bound name comes from.
I will probably take Bound-A-Round. Bounder Ball sounds a little too ordinary maybe.
Reminds me a little of Bust-A-Move.
Or is the spelling too hard?
