Hi Guys.
Got some art done, but I need a legal ownership of contributed material form to get the artist to sign!
I'm not interested in NDA stuff, I'm just talking "all rights belong to the company" kind of thing.
Anyone got such a beast? please send along? or post me a url to grab from?
Much appreciated.

Just write it out in plainy old terms and then run it past a lawyer if possible.
Write down what is being transfered, and how much compensation. Make sure both people sign both copies.
Next time get a work-for-hire agreement before the art is made. Your artist could just delete that art right now or sell it to someone else, even though thats unlikely.

I havent paid for it yet, and its from a colleague Ive worked with for years.
I dont NEED to get this document done other than to cover myself. But it still needs doing.
I'd just prefer to use a standard doc for the job, I dont think writing one myself is going to be legally safe in comparison to a standard one someone else has used.

I searched on google for "work for hire agreement"
This link came up as the #2 result - it's a pdf file
http://www.creativebusiness.com/CBworkforhire.pdf
or try this (even less text)
http://copylaw.com/forms/Workhire.html
If neither of these work, try searching with the term "work for hire agreement" since there were a lot of results.
