Wow! Congrats Addictive247! How does one become nominated for such an award?

Thanks Guys!
Really didn't expect to get nominated so a nomination was good enough for me. Finding out that we'd won yesterday was amazing!! Didn't expect to beat Quake 3 Arena or Bubble Shooter.

Bit strange that Spheres was put in the Action/Arcade category - but I'm not complaining ;)

Big thanks to everyone on this forum for their feedback on Solid Spheres just before we released it.

Cheers!
Marc

The SIA awards are voted on by developers, so you have a good chance of winning if people know who you are. Dweep also won in the Action/Arcade category in 2000, and then Dweep Gold in 2001. The first year it was running against Jazz Jackrabbit. So apparently many non-game developers don't know what an action/arcade game is. :)

This is a great time for you to send out a press release about winning the award. I did this both years, and it generated some extra ink (and sales). I used www.dpdirectory.com to send the release -- they can also write it for you for an additional fee. The price is well worth it for the additional sales you may get over the next six months.

There aren't many categories for games though... only action/arcade and non action/arcade!! :)
lol I think next year this is gonna change...

Congratulations from me too! Great achievement considering the competition.

Did many from this forum attend this years show? I wish I could have gone but it wasn't to be.
