    Hi Zulu, congrats on shipping.

I like the faces in the game - where did you get them from?

The screenshots look pretty good with a few exceptions. On the street the pavement and grass don't mesh with the rest - the isometric buildings look good though. I'm also not a fan of the button font you are using or the font on the black and white picture that reads "pictures". Otherwise the screenshots look great. I also like the gumshoe guy on the front page and the heartbreakers logo.

Congrats... glad to see the game out... Good luck Zulu...

The font can be blamed on me... as well as most of the GUI design incl. the title page and logo... Glad you like it... :)

    Hi Zulu,
This is very nice game. I like the music and graphics. The concept is very original to me :) I wonder how all those female players will react to divorcing and cheating wifes.

    My feedback:
    - you need to explain how I win match-3 - I expect that I need to turn every field gold,
    - match-3 didn't catch L match (horizontal and vertical at once), it just matched vertical one,
    - I didn't know what to do in second minigame so I skiped that one
    - quiz - I didn't like the fact that I have to click on the answer to view the next question (make it click anywhere)

    I will play non-tutorial chapter later :)

    best greetings
    Roman

    Thanks guys,

Bought them from ptgu.com, and they gave me the green light to use it in the game.

Yes, indeed. And I would like to take this occasion to thank you once again :)

I personally don't think it will cause a problem otherwise the Cheaters show would not have been so popular :D

    My experience from first play:

I collected lots of hard evidence ...
And then the game says I haven't collected enough evidence .. game over.

I didn't understand why all my hard evidence wasn't enough!

You have to collect all of them in order to solve the case.

Congratulation Zulu, I wish you all the best luck to you, your game is wonderful, I really think what I'm saying. Make sure you make enough publicity and nice public relation for your game :D

You deserve to have tons of fans, you poured a lot of effort on this game.

I tried the demo and it was very fun.

Again, I wish you meet success!

First let me say congrats for finishing and releasing the game.

Also, it's nice to see a new game around here with a fairly original concept. This is the first game I've downloaded from the Announcement forum in several months.

    Here's my feedback:

    Pros:
    - Most of the mini-games were fun, especially the polygraph.
    - I thought the tutorial was fairly well done. It's one of the few tutorials I completed, which didn't feel like a chore.
    - The music matches the game well.

    Cons:
    - As I said I liked most of the mini-games, but the match-3 seemed a little out of place. The other mini-games seemed to mesh well with the main theme and the case. But the match-3 felt a little tacked on. Though probably since I don't enjoy match-3s to begin with, it may be why I dreaded that mini-game.
    - I don't like how the game abruptly ends as soon as its determined you can't get enough hard evidence. I think it hurts the game substantially. It means there's very little strategy with the phone tap, eavesdropper, or camera. It basically comes down to making sure you earn enough money in the mini-games, so you can always use those items (phone tap, camera, etc) when the icons are lit on the main screen. If you don't use one of the items when the icons are lit you run the risk of getting an abrupt "Game Over".
    - I know this game is based off the TV show Cheaters where even after they catch the suspect buck-naked with the other man/woman, they would continue to follow the suspect for an additional week "just to be sure" it really was infidelity. Of course though, they did it for TV ratings. In your game Heartbreakers though, it feels weird to get a "Game Over" even after you already have a photograph of them lip-locking and eavesdropper recordings of their love talks. How much more hard evidence do you need? :) I think it would be better if each piece of evidence was weighted definitely and then at the end of each episode it determines whether you have strong enough evidence. This would add more strategy to the game. For instance, photographic evidence is the strongest but you could also make the camera more expensive to use, so you have to use it wisely. And so on.

Overall, you have a nifty game here. I just think it could be a little more open-ended and not quite so rigid in regards to collecting evidence.

    Good luck!

    Many congrats on the release!

    :D

I remember the original thread for this game and just want to say that I very much appreciate how far it has come and the fact that you took the time to better it and make it the best it can be prior to shipping.

Congrats on the release! the website and game looks great.

I did notice that your screenshots in the gallery have the windows image border on them. I kept trying to click the image 'close window' icon to close the screenshot :p
You should consider cropping the screenshots in photoshop or an image editor.

    Thanks for the feedbacks guys,
Now that PC version is ready, I am working on the Mac, Windows Mobile and Symbian OS port of the game.
Hopefully they will be ready by the end of this month.

This game has a nice concept, when I first saw it here, I anticipated a game like "Cold Case Files" seems they are quite different and that is a good thing, considering I beat CCF in just 1 sitting on an evening. Beating a game with no replay value in 1 sitting is such a buzz-kill after paying $20 for something like that. This game, however has a more "into it" effect on game play.

There were some times though that I wished I could speed up the game play a bit, watching scenes does get a bit boring, maybe on a future release the ability to set the response speeds faster or slower would be nice.

Great job Zuluboy on this game, I wish you success in sales and sequels to come!
