    Hi everybody,

I wasn't sure where to post this but I'm looking to make a free 2D platformer game that makes its income from micro transactions ( not pay to win transactions)

Any completed surveys would be appreciated. If there is any problems just ask. Thanks.

    Hey!

I got filled out your survey! Good luck! It seems like with microtransactions you're looking to target a small, passionate fan base instead of overall.

Yes, I'm hoping to target my micro transactions at niche audiences like you said. There's a big market for freemuim games on Steam that attracts a lot of customers but only some of those customers do any in-game purcases on a regular basis.

Thanks for completing the survey, it helps a lot.

In general, I do not like micro-transactions. I best free to play system that i have experienced is League of Legends. I enjoy the fact that the micro transactions are purely cosmetic and do not give any advantage over other players.

Just completed the survey, good luck! :)

I agree, micro transactions don't attract me on pay-to-win circumstances but for a game like League of Legends I could spend a few for some skins. But bare in mind, there are quite a lot of people that especially play mobile games spend a lot of money just to get new things from the game.

Also I completed the survey, good luck with your game!

If the context clues of the survey are of any reference to what the game in question is...I'd guess you're making a 2D platformer game with the thoughts of doing multiplayer whether it being online/co-op. This fascinates me and think it would be awesome. The only type of micro-transactions I enjoy purchasing are cosmetic (Smite skins, voice packs, audio themes). Any other such as EXP boosters/Money boosters kind of frustrates me...
