Hello everyone! I am just starting my journey of creating my first, simple game. For now It is basically in the idea stage and since i am completely new I would love your suggestion on the practical side:

Imagine you have slightly animated pictures, where small details such as trees shake or clouds pass by. Really simple animation. You have below the animated picture a bit of text that scrolls through explaining what is going on. You can then select a very limited amount of choices (max 3) which affects the next animated picture and text.

What tools apart from tools such as Gimp or Photo Shop for the Pictures would i need to use to put it all together?

Thanks for helping a rookie out :)

Hi there! Have you had any though as to what game engine you are going to use? also what are still are you using? are these actual photographs or are they pixel art etc?

I would probably recommend unity.com as the engine - the community is huge and has good 2D features.

Thanks you two! I have now started to learn unity - seems daunting but gives me soo much to explore and so much versatility. Just started my first attempts of Pixel Art...

Unity for me is the best development platform for anyone who wants to start their journey to creating games. I will be looking forward to what you have accomplished on making your first ever game. ;)
